Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio issued a decree 9.14.2011declaring that the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 72 Maujer Street, Williamsburg, has been relegated to profane use and may be placed for sale. Please read the decree linked here. For some years it has been part of Most Holy Trinity parish.

The parish of Most Holy Trinity was established in 1841 for German-speaking Catholics. In 1853, Immaculate Conception parish was established a half-mile north.
